SEIVIO Greases for Machine-Tool Probes, Spindles, Milling Heads and Powered Turrets

Precision CNC machine-tool components require low-temperature starting, resistance to centrifugal throw-off and cutting fluids, fretting protection, noise and vibration control, and long maintenance intervals. SEIVIO's synthetic greases address four key units: probes, spindles, milling heads and powered turrets. They serve precision sensor mechanisms, spindle drawbar disc springs and bearings, angular-head spiral bevel gears, and turret gearboxes and rotating mechanisms, reducing sticking, wear, excessive temperature rise, noise, grease loss and emulsification.

1. Machine-Tool Probes

Probes are micrometer-scale sensing mechanisms. Their miniature bearings, pins and spring contacts need low starting torque, good cold flow, low volatility, minimal oil bleeding and fretting resistance to maintain trigger accuracy without contaminating optical components.

Swilub G114 Probe Grease: -40~180°C; fully synthetic base oil. Very low starting torque, shear stability and virtually no bleeding support plastics, metals and elastic components. It prevents sticking and signal drift under frequent triggering. Applications include miniature bearings, probe springs and oscillating mechanisms in Renishaw, Hexagon and other contact probes, including five-axis machine tools.

2. Machine-Tool Spindles

Spindle bearings, drawbar disc springs and drawbar assemblies face different conditions. High-speed bearings need low noise and throw-off resistance; disc springs need fretting protection, resistance to seizure and resistance to cutting-fluid washout.

Cuszlub Z113 Spindle Drawbar Disc-Spring Grease: -35~170°C; synthetic oil with lithium-soap thickener. It limits fretting between discs, prevents spring seizure, maintains drawbar force and resists centrifugal loss and cutting fluids. For machining-center disc-spring stacks, drawbars and guide sleeves.

Cuszlub C742 Double-Helical-Spring Drawbar Grease: shear-stable under repeated compression, with low friction, low torque and resistance to softening and bleeding. It supports responsive tool release and clamping while reducing spindle loads. For high-torque spindle double-helical springs, drawbar grippers and sliding pairs.

Braolube N335 High-Speed Spindle Bearing Grease: low noise, fretting-corrosion protection, resistance to high-speed throw-off, low carbon buildup and stable thixotropic behavior. For medium- and high-speed precision spindle rolling bearings and vibrating spindle units.

Hitalub L211 General-Purpose High-Temperature Spindle Bearing Grease: free from solid particles, resistant to coking and oxidation, and suitable for heavy loads and high speeds. For general spindle bearings and as a general-purpose high-temperature backup grease.

3. Milling Heads: Angular and Right-Angle Heads

Compact spiral bevel gears face high contact stresses, combined rolling and sliding friction, shock loads and poor heat dissipation. Scuffing, pitting, noise and centrifugal grease loss call for strongly adhesive extreme-pressure gear grease.

Gealub M182 Right-Angle Milling-Head Spiral Bevel Gear Grease: -35~165°C; fully synthetic formulation with extreme-pressure ionic additives. Strong adhesion, throw-off resistance and protection against scuffing under heavy loads reduce noise, vibration and temperature rise. It resists cutting-fluid ingress and extends relubrication intervals. For right-angle and five-axis angular heads and their spiral bevel and bevel gears.

Gealub N008 General-Purpose Milling-Head/Turret Bevel Gear Grease: -40~160°C. Low friction, excellent shear stability, noise reduction, water resistance and resistance to emulsification. For five-axis milling-head bevel gears and powered-turret gearboxes, allowing use across several components.

4. Powered Turrets

Frequent indexing and tool changes expose turret spiral bevel gears, bearings and clutch mechanisms to impacts and coolant ingress. Grease must resist emulsification, extreme-pressure shocks, throw-off and shear softening.

Gealub N008 Powered-Turret Gearbox Grease: a liquid ionic-polymer formulation that protects against pitting and scuffing, resists centrifugal loss and cutting-fluid emulsification, and avoids thinning and leakage under sustained shear while reducing noise and temperature rise. For CNC lathe and turn-mill turret spiral bevel gearboxes and internal bearing drives.

Gealub S910 High-Adhesion Heavy-Duty Gear Grease: a tacky, string-forming grease for shock and heavy loads. For low-speed, heavily loaded turrets, exposed or semi-enclosed gears and high-vibration conditions.

Drichlub J665 Turret-Associated Chuck Grease: high film strength maintains chuck holding force, resists cutting fluids and reduces jaw seizure and wear. For hydraulic or pneumatic chucks and sliding jaw pairs used with turrets.
